How you can donate and help YOUR neighbors

Donate FOOD:

The food bank receives the bulk of its food for distribution through the Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council. The food comes from the US Department of Agriculture's TEFAP program and two charitable organizations: Northwest Harvest and Second Harvest. Martin's IGA is also a partner in supplying meat to clients during the holidays and other times of need. However, we rely on food donations from community members to supplement those staples with items such as cereal and canned food (vegetables, fruit, tuna, soup). We appreciate donations of all other food products that are unexpired and unopened.

Non-perishable food donations can be dropped off at our location at 316 River St. Please place the items in the filing cabinet. Our volunteers check it regularly. Please call 509-245-6464 if you have more food than will fit in the drop-off bin, or you are interested in donating fresh produce.

Donate MONEY:

This year we are excited to share a new way to support the Cashmere Food Bank. In lieu of our traditional annual fundraising appeal, we are partnering with the North Central Washington Community Foundation as part of their Give NCW campaign. This initiative offers donors multiple ways to contribute, making it easier than ever to help us provide for those in need.

Here's how you can make a gift during the dedicated giving period from November 28 to December 31:

  • Give Online: Visit www.givencw.org and select the Cashmere Food Bank as your recipient.

  • Mail a Check: Send your donation to the North Central Washington Community Foundation (ensure the memo line specifies "Give NCW: Cashmere Food Bank").

  • Stock Gifts or IRA Distributions: Take advantage of tax-efficient giving options like stock gifts or qualified charitable distributions from your IRA. These must be received by December 31.

From all of us at the Cashmere Food Bank, thank you for your continued generosity and compassion. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who rely on us.
